Interesting Facts
Red semisweet wine "Uomo", Veneto IGP fully justifies its name - Italian for "Uomo" means "man". Grape varieties Merlot and Corvina are grown in the vineyards of the company, located on the sunny side of the hills near Lake Garda. The average age of the vines is 50 years. The berries are harvested by hand in the morning at the end of September. Fruits undergo the procedure "appassimento" within 100 days. Matured wine is 12 months in barrels made of Slavonian oak, then another 6 months in barriques of French oak. Potential fault "Uomo" is 5-7 years.
Producer's description
The wine estate of Corte Moschina is located at the foot of the mountains of Lessini, on a small hill with a charming nature. The company is run by a married couple, Silvano and Patricia, along with their sons, Alessandro and Giacomo. Vineyards use organic methods of vine cultivation, each stage of wine production is under close family control.
To date, the production of Corte Moskina is known not only in Italy, but in many other European countries. The company's wines are popular and successful, and their high quality is noted by the evaluations of famous wine critics and publications such as Robert Parker and Wine Spectator.
