"Ordine di San Giuseppe" Barolo DOCG - a powerful, full-bodied, elegant red dry wine made from selected Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Barolo class San Giuseppe vineyard. Limestone soils give the wine an exquisite minerality and subtle acidity. Harvested as the berries reach the optimum level of maturity. The wort is fermented in contact with the skin at a controlled temperature for 20 days. The wine is aged 24 months in huge oak barrels. The rich, juicy taste of Barolo "Ordine di San Giuseppe" makes the wine an excellent companion to meat dishes and mature cheeses.
The small winery Corte Lombardina is part of Sartirano Figli Cantine e Vigneti. It creates a wide range of typical Italian red and white wines: Barolo, Barbaresco, Gavi, Barbera d'Asti, Dolcetto d'Alba. Their distinctive features can be considered an affordable price and decent quality.
Producer's description
Family Sartirano working in the wine business since 1871. Interrupting the activity at the time of the Second World War, in 1946, Giovanni Sartirano revived the family business, which was soon joined by his heirs. The current owners, cousins Paolo and Guido, are the third generation. They own vineyards and wineries in the famous regions of the Langhe, Barolo, novels, Monforte d'Alba and Barbaresco, where born the most famous wines of Piedmont. In the near future it will be completed construction of a new winery area of 5,000 square meters. At 10 kilometers away is located storage capacity of 12,000 hectoliters. Annual output Sartirano Figli Cantine e Vigneti is 1.2 million bottles, 80% of which is exported to all European countries (the main ones - the markets of Switzerland, Germany, the UK and Austria), the USA, Canada, Japan, Australia.
