Wine moderate ruby-garnet color.
Soft, charming wine with notes of cranberries, cherries and strawberries, with light tannins, medium-bodied and harmonious aftertaste.
Complex aroma of the wine reveals hints of red fruit and roses.
The wine is perfect to truffles, as well as dishes with sauce, red meat, poultry and Provencal cheese.
Interesting Facts
Wine "Cardinalice", Chateauneuf-du-Pape is made from Grenache grapes from vineyards growing on gravel terraces in the region of Chateauneuf-du-Pape. The average age of the vines is 67 years. The wine is aged 24 months in oak barrels and spilled a small party in the 6000 bottles. It can be drunk now or postpone until 2026.
Château Zhigonyan located near the village of Sorgues, near the famous Le Grand Zhigonyan, it was built in the XIX century, there was originally a monastery. Calle family acquired the castle in 1966 and has invested heavily in its complete reconstruction, including basements and industrial premises. Now they own 72 hectares of vineyards in three appellasonah France: Cotes du Rhone, Cotes du Rhone and Chateauneuf The Village du-Pape. The new team, led by winemakers Laura Ambroise and Eloy dyurbe of the legendary Domaine de Trevallon completely switched to organic production and immediately doubled the yield of the winery. All the changes have transformed the Chateau Zhigonyan a world-class winery.
