Wine of intense ruby red color.
The taste of wine is fresh, lively, medium density, with fruity notes, silky tannins, spicy notes of tobacco, fresh acidity and nuances of anise.
Expressive wine aroma reveals notes of plums and blackberries, light hints of graphite, spicy earthy notes.
The wine is a great accompaniment with red meat dishes, including barbecue, grilled meats and aged cheeses.
Interesting Facts
Dry Red Wine Chateau Vieux Robin made mainly from Cabernet Sauvignon with the addition of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Grapes are grown on calcareous-clay and gravel soils, the average age of the vines is about 40 years. After harvesting the crop carefully sorted. Fermentation lasts 3-4 weeks. Maturing takes place in 225-liter French oak barrels, separately for each class. After 12-24 months of ripening, depending on the crop, the final blend is made. Before bottling carried light filtering.

Active development of Château Vieux Robin began after the daughter of the owners of the estate, Marie marries Didier Rob, and, when he was already a married couple, they work together on the improvement and development of its wine business. Today, wisdom and work of Marie and Didier added dynamism of their son Olivier, who also devoted his life to the family business - the production of fine wines and the glorification of the Medoc wine region.
