Producer's description

Chateau Lascombes is one of the jewels of the French heritage. From the 17th century to the present day, ten generations of owners have changed each other, and each has left its mark on the history of Chateau Lascombes. The development of the castle was attended by prominent historical characters, such as, for example, the knight Antoine de Lazcombe, the first owner who gave the name to the Chateau. At various times, the estate was owned by an American investment group, a brewing company, and during World War II it was the headquarters of the coalition forces. The elegant silhouette that looms behind the gate is in fact architecture of various styles, combining elements from the 17th and 19th centuries. The surrounding park offers magnificent views of the castle and the adjacent vineyard. Chateau Lascombes vineyards cover 120 hectares in the Margaux appellation, as well as 10 hectares in the O'Medoc appellation. To this day, it is one of the largest vineyards in the Cru Klassé in 1855. Dominique Befwe has been leading the Chateau Lascombes team since 2001, numbering about forty people. Dominique is a passionate professional who has honed his craft for 10 years at Chateau Lafite Rothschild , Chateau Duhart-Milon and Chateau l'Evangile . Since 2011, the MACSF group has owned Chateau Lascombes, which has opened up many new opportunities for research in improving the quality of Chateau Lascombes wines.
