In 1994, a major French wine producer Larose Trintaudon from Bordeaux in partnership with winemakers from Totihue region in Chile founded the company Casas del Toqui. Subsequently, the company has completely passed to the Chilean family Court. Most of the vineyards are located in the Alto Cachapoal about 100 kilometers south of Santiago, where the alluvial soil and Mediterranean climate create ideal conditions for ripening grapes. The company also processes the grapes from the Alto Maipo, Colchagua Valley intermediate zone (Peumo), and from the cold regions, such as Casablanca.
Modern plant Casas del Toqui, modernized in 2011, can produce wines that are fully compliant with the international market. Today the company is among the five largest companies in Chile alcoholic beverages.
