Bright, juicy taste of the wine is filled with notes of raspberries, currants, blackberries, blueberries, hints of spice, of burning wood, milk chocolate and spices.
Light scent of wine with notes of dark forest berries gradually gaining momentum and enriched woody and spicy shades, shades of pine nuts.
Wine in perfect harmony with the dishes of game birds, red meat, smoked meat delicacies, ham and cheese. Recommended decanting wine 2 hours before serving.

The name of the second wine of Château Lafite Rothschild - "Carruades de Lafite" - comes from the plateau Carruades, a group of plots on which in 1845 acquired the Château Lafite. 80-ies of XX century second wine Chateau was called "Moulin des Carruades". All the more refined selection of grapes for wine first led to the birth Carruades. This wine is made with the same care as the "Grand Vin". However, despite many similarities, these wines are different. Firstly, they are different in composition, Merlot Carruades proportion is higher; secondly, the grapes are grown in different areas, some use is currently restricted to the developing wine "Karryuad de Lafite."
The year 2010 started with a cold and wet winter, resulting in kidney blossomed in mid-April, which is somewhat later than usual. Dry and sunny spring weather has provoked vigorous growth and flowering shoots. The high quality of the famous wines of Château Lafite Rothschild speak unnecessarily, as they are known to anyone who has the slightest idea of French wines. Just to say that according to the classification in 1855 Château Lafite wine among the five best red wines of Bordeaux Premier Grand Cru class and since then it occupies top positions in the hierarchy of the most prestigious wines in the world.
First wine Château Lafite was presented at the royal court Nicolas Alexandre de Segur in 1716 and created a furor in court circles of Versailles. It became known as the "King of Wine", and after some time it was served on the finest grand reception not only in France but also in Russia.
