Producer's description
Carlos Serres - one of the historic wineries of Rioja. It was founded by Carlos Serres in 1896. Carlos was born in 1862 in New Orleans, in the department of Loire. He was considered one of the best wine consultants France. In an effort to create only the best wines, Carlos traveled, and in 1865, the road led him to Haro - La Rioja region, where he founded his own winery. Vineyards owned farm, is located in a wonderful and favorable for grape growing area, occupying 50 hectares of land. For aging wine in the company of Carlos Serres used French and American oak barrels.
Carlos Serres company produces three lines of wine: "Serres", "Carlos Serres" and "Onomastica". "Serres" - is fresh red, pink and white young wines, which are used for the manufacture of the grape varieties Tempranillo, Garnacha and Viura. "Carlos Serres" - seasoned, well-structured and elegant wines, mostly from Tempranillo grapes, with a little Grenache and Graciano varieties to create wines of Reserva and Gran Reserva. "Onomastica" - wine produced only in years of exceptionally high-quality crop. These wines are very tasty, well-balanced, with an intense aroma.
