Wine "Chateau Pierron" Blanc is made from two grape varieties - Sauvignon Blanc (80%) and Semillon (20%). The combination of these varieties produces a perfect balance between fruit and citrus aroma and harmonious taste of the future wine. The vineyards are located on a plateau, which is at an altitude of 110 meters above sea level. Age of vines varies from 15 to 60 years. Soils of vineyards - clay and lime. All stages of vinification take place in stainless steel vats. The method of film maceration and soft pneumatic pressing. This is followed by stabilization at low temperature and with removal of the precipitate. Fermentation is carried out under controlled temperature. After the end of fermentation the wine goes into steel tankers maturing until February. During aging the wine undergoes batonnazhu - periodic shaking procedure in order to give the future wine a smooth, buttery texture. "Chateau Pierron" is not intended for long-term storage, a maximum of 2 years.
The family wine business Cardarelli was founded more than half a century ago, when the ancestors of today's owners of companies acquired vineyards between Castillon-la-Bataille and Sainte-Foy-la-Grande in the department of Gironde (France). Vineyards for three centuries belonged to the family of Oberon, were in poor condition and required restoration. The first result - 120 hectoliters of dry white wine - was obtained only in 1953, after 18 years of careful care of the vines and ground stations. From 1960 to 1980, the vineyards were gradually fully recovered, and the family was able to establish Cardarelli own winery with a full production cycle. Since 1990, a policy of expansion of acreage, now in the possession of Cardarelli is 280 hectares of vineyards. From 1991 to the present, the company is engaged in the development of the plant, equipping it with modern winemaking equipment and the expansion of production facilities.
