Producer's description
Grandfather Camillo Donati, Arola Orlando, planted vines in the Emilia-Romagna region in 1930 to grow grapes and produce wine for his family. There were times when vineyards were the only source of family income. After the death of Orlando, the vineyard passed on to Father Camillo, a successful financier who, moreover, honored family traditions and loved winemaking.
Today, Camillo Donati and his wife, Francesca, have the reins. Since the foundation of the farm, the total area of vineyards has grown from 1 to 15 hectares, natural farming is practiced on them and, as necessary, the vines are processed with biodynamic preparations. According to Camillo, the natural wine begins not in the winery, but in the vineyard.
