Producer's description

Tenuta La Braccesca , one of Antinori's first acquisitions in 1990, is located a few kilometers from Montepulciano, southeast of Tuscany, on the border with Umbria. La Braccesca extends over 508 hectares, where once stood the ancient farm of the Counts of Bracci, from whom the name of the estate and their coat of arms come: an arm covered in armor with a sword. The total area of vineyards is 340 hectares. The estate is divided into two parts: the first occupies 366 hectares on the border between the cities of Montepulciano and Cortona, of which 237 hectares are planted with vineyards. The second has an area of 142 hectares, of which 103 hectares are vineyards, stretching to Montepulciano between the three most famous areas: Cervognano, Santa Pia and Gracciano.

The Antinori family is part of the honorable Association of Oldest Wine Families (Primum Familiae Vini) and has been making wine for more than six hundred years. The Antinori company traces its history back to 1385 and today it is managed by a representative of the 26th generation of the family - Marquis Piero Antinori. Largely thanks to his talent as a winemaker and tireless pursuit of excellence, Italian wines are among the best examples of world winemaking, and the name Antinori itself has become a symbol of innovation and quality. Today, the Antinori company owns several wine houses in various regions of Italy, as well as vineyards in Chile, California and Hungary. At the same time, the company tries to preserve the originality of the wines inherent in each area, and their main characteristics are quality and Italian elegance. Many Antinori wines, thanks to their innovative approach and masterly blends, literally revolutionized the wine market and are not inferior in their properties to the best examples of Bordeaux, although they compare favorably with the latter in their cost.
World-renowned wine expert Robert Parker said that "Antinori is undoubtedly the greatest name in Italian winemaking. The main thing that happens when tasting Antinori wines is an understanding of the quality of wines."
