Chabasse was founded in 1818 by Jean-Baptiste Shabass, they also created excellent cognac spirits, which were the basis for the future of the family business. In the early 20th century, Louis Oliver Shabass head cognac house Chabasse, and traveling the world promoting his cognac, met Elizabeth Bowen (Bowen), which struck him his passion for nature, wild life, courage and freedom of spirit. Returning to France, he created a blend of noble cognac with a delightful range of subtle flavors, unparalleled charm, strength of character and named the drink in chect Elizabeth - «Bowen».
Many years later, his grandson, Rene Luke Shabass, in an effort to capture the story of his family, has restored this blend. He also developed the original design, with a luxurious combination of well-dressed leather, gold and delightful palette of natural shades. For the production of cognac Bowen mixture of Fins Bois, Petite Champagne and Borderies, aged in oak barrels from Limoges.
