Wine "Gevrey-Chambertin" is made ​​from Pinot Noir, which is grown on very rich soils consisting of Triassic limestone, marl, crushed stone, clay, potassium, phosphorus and iron. In 1731, Michel Bouchard - trader from Dauphin, has decided to set up business in Volne. Together with his son Joseph, he began to resell the wine in barrels. In 1775, Joseph Bouchard gets a first portion of vineyards located in Volne and house in Bonn. But the economy was seriously expand only while driving his son Joseph, Antoine Philibert Bouchard. House Bouchard Aine & Fils is proud of its long history and age-old traditions. At its origins is Michel Bouchard, who in 1731 moved to Burgundy with a single purpose - to sell wine. His collaboration with the local growers and winemakers dive on Wednesday could not leave indifferent Michel, and together with his son, Joseph Bouchard, he moved from trading other people's wines to the production of their own. The aim was to create a family Bouchard perfect quality wines that would become synonymous with the word "prestige." Now, having three centuries of development, the house Bouchard Aine & Fils is known worldwide, and its wines are sold in more than 130 countries.

 

Good wine requires good grapes. Restricting the yield and the use of environmentally friendly methods of cultivation are the main directions in the production of quality wines. In 2000, Bouchard Aine & Fils acquired a new winery, which has been equipped according to the strict requirements of the production specifications.
