Interesting Facts

"Paraiso" Sauvignon Blanc is a white dry wine made from the grape variety of Sauvignon Blanc, grown in the Maule region, in the vineyards in Villa Alegre. From the Chilean Sauvignon Blanc, saturated wines with a bright taste are obtained. The Maule region is located far to the south of Santiago and is considered one of the coolest and cloudiest in Chile thanks to the influence of the Pacific Ocean. Soils are sandy and sandy-loamy. Harvesting is done manually. The berries are macerated in contact with the skin at low temperatures, which allows maximum preservation of color and aroma. The wort is fermented with selected yeast in stainless steel containers at controlled temperature.

The Spanish conquistador Francisco de Aguirre planted a vine in the lands of Chile in the 16th century. Continuing the work of the ancestors, Ana Maria Etcheberry and Pedro Felix de Aguirre founded the winery Bodegas y Vinedos de Aguirre , which adheres to the wine-making traditions of the family. The company is located in the town of Villa Alegre, in the Maule Valley. Today Bodegas y Vinedos de Aguirre owns 330 hectares of vineyards with modern irrigation systems. The enterprise is equipped with modern equipment for stabilization, fermentation, bottling and marking of wines.

Producer's description

The ruler "Viento del Sur" is dedicated to the southern wind, without which neither a good harvest nor a good wine will turn out. The Greek gods, deifying the phenomena of nature, appropriated winds to names in accordance with their directions. The southern wind of Noto (in Latin - Oster) brings good weather, saturates the nature with wind energy in summer and during harvest.
All wines from the collection "Viento del Sur" ("South Wind") - young, elegant, fresh, open, with a good "price-quality" ratio. They are made from grapes, which have highly concentrated organoleptic characteristics. To preserve the rich aroma, the harvest is collected at dawn, in the cool morning hours.
