Interesting Facts
"Stylo" is a dry red wine made from Garnacha grapes that ripen on clay soils under the influence of the continental climate with cold winters and rather hot summers. Harvesting is carried out in the first week of October. At the winery, fruits are fermented using natural yeast at a temperature of 26 ° C. Subsequent maceration lasts 10 days, followed by the malolactic fermentation process. Wine is aged in French oak barrels for 4-6 months with regular batonnage. Stilo is recommended to be consumed young, with poultry dishes, pasta, pizza and hard cheeses.
Producer's description
Bodegas Agustin Cubero is a family-owned company founded by Agustin Cubero in 1881 in a small town called Godochos. Initially, the winery consisted of several cellars connected to each other by underground passages. Agustin produced wines for his own use, constantly improving recipes. Years passed, and the winery first came under the control of Agustino's son, Thomas Kubero, and in 1953 it was headed by his grandson. From that moment began the modernization of the winery, the expansion of vineyard areas and the sale of wines at the national level. Today, the company has successfully applied all the knowledge and achievements gained over decades. In 1997, a new winery was created in Calatayud with the most modern equipment that guarantees high standards of hygiene and production quality.
