Producer's description
The start of the company, which today is called Bodegas Familiares Matarromera , was laid by Carlos Moreau, who comes from a family that has always been associated with the world of wine. Carlos's ancestors cultivated the vines with care, devotion and passion, and young Carlos Moreau knew from childhood what he would do. In 1988, after successful work in other areas, but always focusing on wine, the winemaker returned to his land and, with unprecedented success, created the winery Matarromer in the municipality of Valbuena de Duero. In subsequent years, the company became the owner of nine wineries in different parts of Spain, which allowed it to represent the wine market of the five most important Spanish wine regions.
In the first decade of the 21st century, Bodegas Familiares Matarromera experienced incredible growth and created a structure whose strength lies in the enormous diversification of the product, as well as in the great care used to create each of its products. The company is looking forward with optimism and confidence. The tremendous work done to date is only the beginning of a long journey, the purpose of which is to preserve and redouble the efforts undertaken in vineyards and in wineries, in research, in wine tourism and in innovations.
