The taste of rum is dry, vibrant and multi-layered, soft and round, has a smooth texture and hints of creamy vanilla, reveals pleasant notes of caramel-banana ice cream. The finish is filled with light cherry accents.
Aromatic bouquet of rum is replete with attractive tones of mango, papaya and banana, light shades of vanilla, as well as nuances of sugar cane and pecan.
It is recommended to use rum in its pure form, with a small amount of ice, with juices or water, as well as in cocktails.
Interesting Facts
"Bayou" Silver is a new gold standard for rum, which had to be called silver. Rum is made from local, natural and unrefined sugar cane and molasses. Each batch is distilled in copper distillation cubes and bottled manually. Bayou Silver was awarded two gold medals in 2014 and 2015.
Producer's description
Tim Laytel, Skip Cortese and Trey Laytel founded Louisiana Spirits in 2011. The Brothers Lytel come from Lake Charles, and Skip Cortese is from Baton Rouge. Over the past 12 years, Tim and Skip have worked together to create and sell environmental protection projects against pollution. Tim brings his environmental expertise to the management of the company. Skip is a successful entrepreneur with experience in environmental engineering, and also specializes in building and managing startups. Trey has more than 25 years of experience in sales and marketing, and he has been engaged in the production of alcohol for about 10 years.
Currently, Louisiana Spirits is in the process of building a new modern distillery in Lakassin. On the object of 18 thousand square feet will house a distillery, storage for barrels, bottling line, offices, gift shop and gallery.
