Italian grappa, as any noble drink, has a long history. Presumably the first distillation of wine to produce grappa was carried out by alchemists in the XII century. Until now, the exact place of origin is the reason for the dispute between residents of Piedmont, Veneto and Friuli. For a long time local flavor grappa was no part of the world elite of spirits. Today is the most popular brand in the world of grape marc and perhaps the only internationally recognized.
