Producer's description
The history of Martini began in the 19th century. In 1847, in the town of Pession, in the Piedmont region, a company for the production of wines and liquors was founded. One of the partners was the commercial agent Alessandro Martini. Luigi Rossi, herbal expert and winemaker, researched various flavors and found a great combination for vermouth. Luigi Rossi and Alessandro Martini became the owners of the company and their vermouth was called "martini". Their heirs made the company one of the most famous producers of vermouth. A large number of different medals proves the high merits of the drink. Even the King of Piedmont, Umberto I, allowed the company to place its coat of arms on the label - a white cross on a red background. At the end of the twentieth century, the Martini and Rossi company became the owner of several well-known alcoholic companies: Offley, Otar, Benedictine Liqueur. In 1992, she joined the Bacardi industrial group. Now more than 200 million bottles of Martini are sold annually worldwide.
