Tasting Notes
The wine shows a ruby red color with a hint of cherry and purple highlights.
The taste of wine - delicate, but full-bodied, with fine spicy notes of fruit and expressive chord tones on a background of fine oak tones.
The aroma of wine is dominated by accents of cherry and blackcurrant, which shaded nuances of sweet spices: vanilla, licorice and oak strokes and coffee beans.
The wine should be served with dishes of lamb, meat sauce, poultry, as well as soft cheeses.
Interesting Facts
Armenia Wine, "Takar" Areni - dry red wine created from the autochthonous varieties of the Armenian Areni. Grapes are grown in continental climate conditions in the areas located at an altitude of 1200-1500 meters above sea level. Vinification carried out in stainless steel containers for two weeks. The alcoholic fermentation is carried out at a controlled temperature. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and aging for 12 months in oak barrels.
For its high quality and excellent organoleptic properties of the wine, "Thakar," Areni was awarded a silver medal of the competition Decanter World Wine Awards (UK) and 3-star rating in 1001 Degustations (France).
Producer's description
Az-Granata alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks production company was founded in 2011. Today the enterprise is one of the largest manufacturers in the South Caucasus. The plant is equipped with modern European equipment, the quality of products meets international requirements (certificates ISO 9001 and ISO 22000).
The area of vines is 500 hectares, the area of pomegranate orchards is 350 hectares. Most of the gardens are organic certified by the German Institute KIWI GmbH. The company's production capacity is 24 million bottles of alcoholic beverages and 100 million packs of fruit and berry juice. Since 2016, Az-Granata has launched the production of sparkling pomegranate wine, and in 2017, for the first time in Azerbaijan, the production of vodka from tomato paste and Turkish brandy was launched.
