Tasting Notes


The wine is a pale golden color with silver highlights.


On the palate the wine trapped notes of white fruits and dried fruits, which are complemented by nuances of fresh toast. Refreshing aftertaste.


Aromatic bouquet of wine abounds in elegant tones of dried fruit, which are complemented by no less attractive lemon twist.


Experts recommend to consume this wine paired with seafood, fish sauce, fried goose liver, as well as roasted poultry.

Producer's description

Wine House Antonin Rodet, which is located in Mercurey and almost became synonymous with, was founded by Antoine Rode in 1875. Father Antoine, Francois, was a grocer in Chalon-sur-Saone (an important center of trade in wine), as well as capable businessman. In the XIX century in the city built a railroad, river transport appeared. This produced a real economic boom in Chalon-sur-Saone, and because of that young Antoine first learned about business and business relations.
When Antoine Rode married Marie-Francoise Adeno - a girl from a family of farmers, he took control of significant land resources, which provided the basis for his new business and played a very important role in shaping the future of their own winery. Antoine worked on the farm day and night tirelessly to achieve the desired. He put all their money into the vineyard, despite the crisis and the invasion of phylloxera that engulfed the vineyards of Burgundy. In subsequent years, the legacy continues to grow Rodet, wine house blooms and significantly expanded.

Antonaves Rode - son Antoine - at age 25 became the head of the family business, taking over his father's innovative concept and strengthened the position of the House at the international level. His youth and dynamism were the main asset in business development and reputation of wines. Antoine was the first who started to use advertising to promote wine production.
