When Antoine Rode married Marie-Francoise Adeno - a girl from a family of farmers, he took control of significant land resources, which provided the basis for his new business and played a very important role in shaping the future of their own winery. Antoine worked on the farm day and night tirelessly to achieve the desired. He put all their money into the vineyard, despite the crisis and the invasion of phylloxera that engulfed the vineyards of Burgundy. In subsequent years, the legacy continues to grow Rodet, wine house blooms and significantly expanded.
Antonaves Rode - son Antoine - at age 25 became the head of the family business, taking over his father's innovative concept and strengthened the position of the House at the international level. His youth and dynamism were the main asset in business development and reputation of wines. Antoine was the first who started to use advertising to promote wine production.
Father and son Rode built in Mercury Wine House, which has achieved international recognition. And although today both of them are no longer alive, visionary spirit and love for the land Antonaves and his father continued to live in the wines of the House.
