"Tignanello" - the first wine from the Sangiovese, which have become aged in barrels. This is the first modern, experimental blend, in which the "non-traditional" blend of Sangiovese and Cabernet, as well - this is one of the first red wines made in Chianti without the use of white grapes. In the first vintage "Tignanello", from 1971 to 1975, there were blended varieties such as Malvasia and Trebbiano.
The wine is produced only in the best years, is used for its manufacture mature grape vines with excellent quality. These vines are grown exclusively in one area, which occupies 47 hectares of south-western exposure at an altitude of 350 to 400 meters above sea level. Vineyard soil composed of limestone and tuff. Berries are carefully selected during the harvest. The fermentation proceeds at a temperature of 27 ° C in order to preserve the most common fruit flavors.
