The wine is dark ruby color with copper reflections.
Balanced, full-bodied wine with a beautiful structure and a long finish that combines black berries, plums, vanilla and cedar and coffee tones.
Wine with a rich, multi-faceted scent, which perfectly combines black currant, blackberry and spices.

Izvetsnoe wine "Almaviva" vintage 2008, is rightly recognized as great as created in the "atypical" climatic conditions. The winter was harsh, one of the coldest in the last 40 years, spring - cool, and the summer - very dry. Bud break occurred 10 days after the deadline, the process of vegetation is extremely slow. As a result of long ripening harvest Cabernet grown in Puente Alto, held from April 21 to May 22, and Carmenere in Peumo - from 13 to 17 May. However, the low yield (of 20-45 hectoliters per hectare) showed the highest quality, purity, excellent balance and a strong character.
Wine Almaviva - is one of the most successful examples of a meeting of cultures of France and Chile, Chile offers its own unique soil and climatic conditions for growing grapes, and France brings to the process of creating a long tradition of winemaking. Almaviva takes its name from the name of one of the protagonists of Beaumarchais's comedy "The Marriage of Figaro" and even the word "Almaviva" on the wine label is written handwriting of the great playwright.
Established in 1996, a joint venture between Concha y Tora & Baron Philippe de Rothschild today is engaged in production of only one wine - Almaviva, so its quality is always consistently high. This is evidenced by the worldwide popularity not only wine, but also high marks from the most eminent critics, because since its launch in 1996 Almaviva not obtain an estimate of less than 90 points and won a gold medal at the prestigious competition such as Wine Challenge UK in 1997. Today wine Almaviva Categorised Primer Orden, which is the equivalent of the French Grand Cru.
The entire production process is carried out Almaviva in Puente Alto, where the famous Chilean architect Martin Hurtado in 1998 the winery was built, recognized as the ideal in terms of aesthetic design and functionality.
