Tasting Notes
The wine is dark red in color.
Complex, fresh, exuberant taste of the wine has a dense core of the notes of blueberry, plum, blackberry, licorice, which is surrounded by fine-grained tannins and nuances of spices (star anise). Velvety aftertaste filled with notes of pepper, chicory, sweet dark chocolate and lemon freshness.
In the heady aroma of wine tones of ripe red and black fruit develop on the background of rich notes of underbrush.
The wine is excellent with meat dishes, poultry, game, pasta and hard cheeses.

"Quimera", 2010 - a delicious wine, in which the "Old World meets New" (Robert Parker). The creation of wine producers inspired by the great Bordeaux red wines samples, which were taken as a basis, but viewed through the prism of the Argentine wine. So blended, along with classic French grape varieties, there was a star of Argentina - the Malbec variety. The result was a "great" wine whose greatness is not simply the sum of all components and seamless integration of sorts, but in terms of the ideal wine - the soul of wine. This is a wonderful, complex wine, aged in French oak barrels for 14 months, has a magnificent structure that will allow guilt to maintain and develop at least 10 years.
Young "boutique" winery Achaval Ferrer was founded in 1998 by a group of Italian and Argentine minded, passionate love their land and their work. The main objective of the company - the creation of high-quality, complex and profound wines, reflecting the best qualities of the maximum local terroir. The vineyards are located in the region of Mendoza at an altitude of 700-1000 meters above sea level. It is mostly cultivated variety Malbec. His wines have earned high marks wine experts and critics, and its Brunello was billed at Christie's auction in New York in 1993.
