Company Domaine Zind-Humbrecht was created in 1959, when Leonardo Umbreht Zind and Genevieve married and joined the family property. Leonardo, whose family was engaged in viticulture in 1620, did a lot for the development of the wine sector, moving it to the top ten wineries in Alsace, and will forever remain a place of honor in the history of this domain.
Olivier Umbreht - Leonardo son, became the first Frenchman, who qualified as "Master of Wine". He is worthy of taking over the reins from his father.
