Wine Winzer Krems, "Sandgrube 13" Blauer Zweigelt, 2015
Wine of intense ruby red color.
The taste of wine is full bodied, dry, structured, with fruity notes, fine tannins and a soft, velvety finish.
Bouquet of the wine reveals subtle aromas of ripe red and black fruit, dominated by shades of cherry.
Wine is the perfect accompaniment to red meat, pork chops in beer sauce with potatoes, ham, sausage, cheese.
Wine "Sandgrube 13" Blauer Zweigelt is made from grapes Blauer Zweigelt, which appeared as a result of crossing of Gamay and Saint-Laurent. To date, Zweigelt is the main variety for the production of red wines in the company of Winzer Krems, under his landing allocated 20% of the vineyards.
Company Winzer Krems has its origin from the vintners' guild, which existed in the region since the mid Krems XV century. Today it is one of the most famous Austrian winemakers association. Winzer Krems company owns vineyards, which are located in the valleys Kremstal and Wachau and cover an area of more than 1,000 hectares. Priority is given to two grapes - the variety Grüner Veltliner, which is used for the production of white wines, and Blauer Zweigelt variety for the production of red wines. The main business of the company is the production of white wines. They accounted for 72% of production. Most of the wine is delivered to the Austrian market, and only a third is exported. At present, the company is managed by Franz Erenlyaytner. The company is focused on maintaining a high quality of wine and winemaking considers as an important part of the cultural life of the country.
Winzer Krems wines repeatedly recognized at the global level. At the international competition "International Wine Challenge" in London, the company has won:
- Gold Award Cup "Austrian Riesling" and "Cup of Krems Valley" for wine Pfaffenberg Riesling 2011:
- Silver Award for the wine Kremser Wachtberg Grüner Veltliner 2011;
- Bronze medal for wine Edition Chremisa Grüner Veltliner 2011;
- Bronze medal for wine Kremser Goldberg Grüner Veltliner, 2012.
