Wine bright ruby-red color with dark purple hues.
The taste of wine is soft, rounded, with a strong structure, memorable aftertaste of red berries.
The aroma of wine is thin and elegant, notes of blackcurrant and blueberry combined with notes of cinnamon and underbrush.

Wine Volpaia Balifico Toscana IGT 2005 is made from grapes Sangiovese and Cabernet harvested from vineyards called Balifiko growing on sandy soils rich in limestone.
Volpaya Castle (Castello di Volpaia) was built in the eleventh century, far from strengthening in order to create on the border of Florence and Siena. At present, there remain only two of the six ancient towers and part of the original defensive walls surrounding the castle. And yet, the location of buildings in the village of Volpaia and their walls are perfectly preserved virtually intact. In addition, Volpaia - it is also the name of the famous family.
