Dry red wine Vina Real, Crianza, 2012 is made primarily from the Tempranillo grape variety grown in the region of Rioja Alavesa, with the addition of a small amount of Masuelo varieties, Grenache and Graciano. The climate is influenced by the Atlantic Ocean, clay and limestone soils, rich in iron and many other trace elements, creating particularly favorable conditions for ripening the grape Tempranillo, which is the hallmark of Spain.
Season 2012 was distinguished by dry weather, especially in those areas affected by vineyards, where there is no irrigation. However, this did not prevent the grapes reach optimal maturity and aroma typical for wine with a typical Mediterranean character - fruit, with ripe tannins. Manual harvesting took place slowly, from 20 September to 23 October. The sorted berries were placed in a stainless steel tank for alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature, which lasted 10-12 days. Exposure within 13-14 months was carried out in barrels of French and American oak.
Wine Company of Northern Spain (CVNE), founded in 1879 by brothers Raimundo and Eusebio Real de Azua, considered the oldest winery in Spain.
