Interesting Facts
One of the best wines of Tommasi is Recioto della Valpolicella unique Classico "Fiorato". This extraordinary wine is made from three grape varieties grown on a tiny area called Fiorato in the town of San Pietro in Karia. Fiorato is located in the uppermost part of the vineyards Tommasi and before there were planted the first vines, each of them have passed the strict breeding selection. Every year the vines are cut much, so are born small harvests of the highest quality, ideal for the production of Recioto. The main feature of the production of wine is that before sending in the winepress grapes for 5 months dried naturally. This allows the grapes to acquire new delicious flavors and a deep, rich flavor with a high sugar content. Additional complexity and piquancy wine gets during a 12-month aging in small barrels of Slavonian oak volume of 5 hectoliters.
