For "Springbank" SV used a blend of different types of alcohols: aged for 7 years in barrels of bourbon, aged for 10 years in barrels of sherry and let stand for 14 years in barrels from the port.
Distillery Springbank - one of the oldest in Scotland - is located on the west coast. It was built in 1828 in Campbeltown brothers Archibald and Mitchell.
