Interesting Facts
Scapa is one of the two remaining plants on the islands of Orkney. The plant was built in 1885 by John T. Townsend and Mr. MacFarlane, several times changed owners and stopped. During the Second World War, the factory was virtually destroyed by fire, with the help of the Navy, located nearby, was able to save several buildings.
