Whiskey deep amber color.
The taste of whiskey a rich, smooth and silky, with sweet notes of molasses, toffee nut, rum, caramel, marmalade, honey with subtle hints of ginger, coffee grounds, tobacco leaves and oak.
In the deep and complex flavors of whiskey present nuances of coffee, toffee, apple pie, plum, mint. Forest motives presented aromas of moss, blackberry, fresh pine resin, wood chips.
Whiskey is perfect as a digestif, combined with a cigar.
Interesting Facts
Plant "Lochnagar" was built in 1826 by James Robertson at the foot of Lochnagar, on the north bank of the River Dee. It was the second plant Robertson. First, in Glen Feardan, three years earlier burned competitors. Unfortunately, the plant "Lochnagar" fifteen years later suffered the same fate. Then there is the next owner - John Begg - building in 1845 a new building on the south bank of the river. In this type of plant has survived to the present day. John Begg was a successful businessman. He sent to Queen Victoria and Prince Albert invited to visit the factory. Royal personages were not only an ardent admirer of the national drink, but also keenly interested in technology and industry - Victorian era coincided with the Industrial Revolution. After the visit, "Lochnagar" becomes the supplier of the royal court, gets a "Royal Warrant" and a new name - "Royal Lochnagar".
Today the factory "Royal Lochnagar" belongs to the corporation "Diageo". This is the smallest of plants "Diageo", however, is the fifth largest in Scotland in terms of production. Annual turnover is around 450,000 liters. The plant produces whiskey in the range of "Classic Malts", and - "Rare Malts".
