The founder of the company and became the first manager Michelle Myhre, who lived near Ruffaha and began studying viticulture. The main step in the development of those years was the acquisition of 15 hectares of vineyard Clos Saint-Landel, named after the Irish monk-martyr Landel (now the company is the exclusive owner of the land). The vineyards are located near the town of Ruffo in the south of Alsace. This is a very favorable area with clay-limestone soil with a high content of stones. The average age of the vines about 45 years. Due to the mountains of the Vosges mountains, which surround it, it is protected from rain and western winds. That is why there is low rainfall and very sunny. Vineyard area is just over 22 hectares. To date, it includes all the necessary grapes - Sylvaner, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Gris, Muscat, Gewurztraminer and Pinot Noir.
Today Domain Rene Muret part of the negotsiantskogo home Domaine du Clos St. Landelin, being the main part of it. Wine is made as to its own vineyards located far from areas Vorbourg, Zinnkoepfle, Schulzengass and Lutzeltal, and from grapes purchased from winegrowers area Ruffo.
