Nice dry red wine "Palafreno" - the result of a delicate biodynamic winemaking. It got its name from an ancient Italian word "palafreno" - so called as the noble horse, which was used in medieval knights tournaments, travels and his heroic campaigns.
Wine "Palafreno", first established in 2000, is made from Merlot grapes, harvested from the best vineyards in Greve and Chianti regions. After the harvest, the grapes are carefully stacked in an 8-pound boxes for easy transportation to the winery, where the berries are gently pressed and sent to stainless steel tanks for fermentation at a strictly controlled temperature conditions. The process of maceration for Merlot lasted 18 days. Withstand the wine for 18 months in oak barrels from Allier and Vosges, 30% of which - the new, and 70% - one-year. After bottling, the wine is left to ripen further 6 months in the cellar of the winery. Wine is available for sale for at least 26 months after the harvest - 2008 vintage was released in spring 2011. Wine storage capacity - 5-12 years. Before use, recommended wine decant for at least 1 hour.
