Wine Primosic, "Gmajne" Chardonnay DOC Collio, 2009
The wine is pale straw-yellow color.
The taste of wine is full bodied, generous, refreshing, with pleasant fruity notes and a long pleasant aftertaste.
Bunch of wine, expressive and intense, fresh and fruity aroma is revealed, which are dominated by shades of quince, anise and elderberry notes.
Wine is the perfect accompaniment for fish dishes, risotto, white meat with cream sauce and cheese.
The name of the wine - "Gmajne" - is of German origin and translated means "the property of the church community." Apparently vineyard Gmajne, which is located in Oslyavii, used to be in the possession of the church. The wine is made from Chardonnay grapes. The vineyard is situated on the sandy mergelievyh soils with low organic matter content. The crop was harvested manually, and passed a short vinification in contact with skin for 12 hours. Fermentation was carried out partially in oak barriques (40%) and partly in a stainless steel (60%). Then within 8 months the wine is aged on the lees and later another 6 months in bottle.
Today, the family Primosich - one of the leading wine producers in Italy, which each year provides good performance of non-standard and inexpensive wines of excellent quality.
