Dry red wine Gevrey-Chambertin "Les Marches" Vieilles Vignes, 2011 is made from Pinot Noir harvested from old vines of 45-60 year olds in the vineyard Gevrey-Chambertin in. Pierre Nezhon is a member of the fifth generation of winemakers living in Gevrey-Chambertin, although his ancestors on this land were engaged in farming and viticulture in the early 18th century. For the first time the idea of producing their own wine Fernand Nezhona visited in 1890, when due to an epidemic of phylloxera in the wine market was depressed, and he was not able to implement prepared to sell barrels. Present Domaine Pierre Naigeon created great grandson of Fernand Nezhona recently. Young Pierre Nezhon became a broker for the sale of wine in 1991, and around this time he began work on a small area of vineyards (about 1 hectare) in Bon-Mar Shams-Chambertin to him by the family. Over the years, he has increased the area of the domain to 11.5 hectares due to new acquisitions and leasing of land. Pierre is very proud of its sections, since some of them have vines older than 50 years and provide unique in quality yields. Pierre Nezhon refuses on principle to use on their land and apply chemical fertilizers only organic compost for fertilizing plants and plowing of weed control. On the quality and popularity of wine Domaine Pierre Naigeon says that only 10% of them are sold to restaurants in France and the rest is exported to various countries of the world.
