Tional wine in a complex interweaving of taste notes of raspberry, blueberry, currant, juicy and spicy aftertaste with hints of oriental spices, with deep and soft tannins.
The aroma of this wine combines the shades of dried currants, dried fruits, spices and cigar smoke.
The wine goes well with pasta, baked lamb, lamb, cheese, fish or white meat
Winery "Vina Alicia", which produces wines "Paso de Piedra" was founded relatively recently - in 1998, when the wife of the Argentine winemaker Alberto Ariza (the owner of " Luigi Bosca " ) - Alicia Mateu Ariza - along with her youngest son Rodrigo Ariza took Wine production in Lujan de Cuyo, Mendoza. This was preceded by nearly 25 years of hard work, dedicated to creating wines of the highest quality. Through a combination of family winemaking traditions and favorable climatic and geographical conditions winemakers "Viña Alicia" unable to grow such rare for Argentina grape varieties such as Nebbiolo, Grenache Noir and Carignan. Also in possession of Viña Alicia is a vineyard of 15 hectares, Alicia Mateu Ariza inherited from her father Don Miguel Mateu. The vineyard has more than 150 years and is considered the oldest vineyard in Mendoza.
Winery "Vina Alicia" has gained international recognition and appreciation of experts around the world - it is even called "the pearl" for the production of fine wine, and production is limited to strict quality control and are mainly exported.
