Tasting Notes


The wine is a golden color.


Taste Wine intense, with glycerin texture, the sweetness of pineapple hues, balanced acidity and minerality bright. Excellent wine structure has a certain latitude and logical conclusion in the form of saturated aftertaste.

Lucien Le Moine, Meursault 1-er Cru "Genevrieres", 2011 - a very colorful wine with an interesting aroma, reminiscent of German Riesling, and restrained, intense flavor with bright acidity. Mounir Saouma describes it as "red wine from Chardonnay" and affirms that "the 60-year-old vines of Chardonnay has always maintained a good acidity." The wine has a spectacular storage potential and further development.

Lucien Le Moine - a small wine house, created by Mounir Saouma and Rotem marriage. In the late 1980s, the Lebanese winemaker Mounir Saouma went to the Trappist monastery in the Middle East. For a long time he worked at the monastery vineyard, where he learned to create wine. Subsequently, he studied viticulture and winemaking at Montpellier and then spent six years in Burgundy and other regions of France, as well as in California. During this time he became a devotee of the traditional methods of winemaking. In 1999, Munir decided to realize all that he had seen and experienced, and with his wife, Rotem has created a small cellar for the production of exceptional wines. Mounir Saouma Rotem and soon became one of the most talked about in Burgundy producers, created a number of popular wines of the region. All the work in the cellar, and Munir Rotem do manually.

Lucien Le Moine name consists of two parts: Lucien means "light", as Le Moine translated as "Monk", in honor of the monastery, where Munir studied and gained experience for the production of wine. Over the years spent in Burgundy, Mounir and Rotem met many excellent growers - owners of the best sections of Grand Cru and Cru Premiers who buys a pair of every year the best harvest. Every year they are reconsidering their choice depending on the quality of a particular vineyard and vintage.
