Wine Linton Park, "Louis Fourie 1699" Shiraz
The wine is characterized by maroon cherry color.
Taste wine juicy, with hints of black currant and red gooseberries. The aftertaste is found pleasant and light acidity.
The aromatic bouquet of wine abounds with rich fruity tones, hints of ripe plums and raspberries, which are complemented by nuances of spice and pine cones.
Experts recommend to consume this wine paired with grilled meat, steaks, vegetables, grilled, game and spicy beef.
In 2012, wine was awarded a silver medal at the "Concours Mondial de Bruxelles" and the bronze medal by "Decanter".
Winery and Cellars Company Linton Park situated in a very picturesque place called Slangrivier (Snake River). Slengriver - a farm in the Western Cape, which was provided in 1699 by Willem Adriaan van der Stel (the then Governor of the Cape of Good Hope), Frenchman Louis Fourie. Louis, in turn, are planted vineyards and established the first wine. Vineyards grow on the company's rich soil slopes Groenberg, at an altitude of 500 meters above sea level, where there has been sufficient rainfall and cooler temperatures that provides the vines all the necessary conditions for rest before next spring and vine blossom. The farm covers 294 hectares, 100 of which are reserved for the cultivation of noble grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Merlot, Pinotage, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. In 1995, the farm was completely restored, updated equipment in the production and in the cellars.
