The founder of Chateau Cos d'Esturnel Louis Gaspard d'Esturnel, born in 1762, the year of the reign of Louis XV and lived 91 years there was only one passion: Chateau Cos. Having inherited a small vineyard, in 1811 he produced the first wine and decided to devote himself vinification, experimenting with varieties and their treatment.
