The Lakefront Brewery was founded in Milwaukee (Wisconsin) in 1987 by the Klish brothers. Progressively developing, the brewery expanded its production capacity and increased its turnover - in 1998 the production volume reached almost 3000 barrels, but the brewery area occupied only 3,600 square feet, and the equipment was second-hand. Then Jim and Russ Klisch decided that it was time to move forward, and moved to a new building, where a real brewhouse was equipped. Production increased significantly, in 2012 it reached 33,368 barrels. Today, this industrial and inventive microbrewery, located on the Milwaukee River, is a real landmark of the city.
The Lakefront is an innovative brewery: in 1996 it became the first certified organic brewery in the country, in 2006 created a new category of gluten-free beer, began to produce pumpkin beer. Walking along an innovative path, the brewery does not forget about the traditions: the classic American beer grades produced by Lakefront are invariably highly appreciated by both industry experts and consumers.
