Josetta Saffirio, Barbera d'Alba - clean, fine Italian wine made from Barbera grapes that grow in the vineyards in the commune of Monforte d'Alba, sub-appellasone Kasteletto. The soil is rich in minerals vineyards, it consists of clay, lime and sand from marine sediments and fossil traces of the Miocene period. Harvesting is done by hand. At the beginning of the XX century Josette's father, Ernesto began to cultivate vineyards, inherited from his father. In 1975, a young Josette decided that she also should take care of the vineyards. Together with her husband, the winemaker, Roberto, they begin to cultivate vineyards, planted his grandparents during the Second World War. A few years later, seeing that their efforts are rewarded with a great harvest, Josette and Roberto decide on the production of the first wine. So in 1985, was made the first wine "Barolo". Sarah, daughter of Robert and Josette, decided to continue the family tradition and today she is a fourth-generation winemaker.
