In 1814, a young Cooper Jean-Joseph Moreau married the daughter of the local wineries and decided to open a store in the Chablis. This was the beginning of the house Moreau. Boisset family business began in 1961 when the parents of the current owner Jean-Charles Boisset founded the winery in Burgundy - known far beyond the French wine region. Jean-Charles Boisset was born in the village of Vougeot in the land of Burgundy. Since childhood, he was surrounded by centuries-old vineyards and old wine cellars of the castle Clos Vougeot. Love for his native land and the vine Jean-Charles inherited from parents, and winemaking became his life's passion. Currently Boisset Family Estates owns twenty old farm located in the south of France, Beaujolais, Burgundy and the Rhone Valley. The company also owns wineries in Canada and the United States (California).
