Elegant sweet taste of whiskey and malt, notes of vanilla blend well with hints of oak and spice in a slightly spicy elegant finish.
The aroma of whiskey light and thin, with nuances of raspberry sorbet, vanilla, malt and white oak.
Whiskey is perfect as a digestif, with a good cigar, fruit.
Interesting Facts
Springbank Distillery is located on the west coast of Scotland. It was built by the brothers Archibald and Hugh Mitchell in 1828. Unlike its nearest neighbor - Glen Scotia - Springbank never changed hands. The plant is currently owned by "J & A Mitchell", which aims at restoring the once great whiskey region Campbeltown. Today, the company produces four excellent whiskey: Springbank, Longrow, Hazelburn and Kilkerran.
"Hazelburn" 8 years old - a relatively new product in the Springbank whiskey. The first distillation "Hazelburn" was implemented in 1997. When 8 years later, in 2005, the first release of whiskey, he has been so successful that the entire consignment of 6,000 bottles was sold within two weeks. Like whiskey "Longrow", "Hazelburn" named after one of the oldest plants Campbeltown. Most of the buildings of the plant survived to this day, although the plant is no longer operational. "Hazelburn 8 years old" is created from barley without peat smoke treatment, which gives the whiskey a delicate, fruity and very delicate character.
