Tasting Notes


The wine is light straw color.


The wine is characterized by high acidity, as well as the balance between sweetness and minerality. Thin and delicate taste of the wine is filled with hints of golden apples. The finish is long.


Crisp and fresh aroma of the wine is filled with notes of apple, citrus and minerals.


Wine is combined with a variety of Asian and vegetarian cuisine. Also, the drink will make the perfect pair of fish, shellfish, poultry, pasta with cream sauce, sweets and desserts.

Interesting Facts

German white wine "Scharzhof" Riesling is classified Qualitatswein, which literally means "quality wine". The drink is made exclusively from grapes Riesling grown in the Moselle region in the vineyards Zaaburg, Vavern, and Viltinger Braunfels. Microclimate vineyards pretty cool, productivity is maintained at a low level. Harvest and wine production runs manually. After fermentation on natural yeast in wooden barrels, the wine is kept for six months and then bottled. Storage capacity of wine is 10 years.

Egon Muller - German aristocrat wine, in possession of the most of the famous German vineyard Shartshofberg in which vines are planted 3 hectares Riesling in the XIX century. The vineyard was founded by monks and martyrs of the monastery of St. Mary in the Middle Ages, however, in 1735, during the war with the French, the vineyard was abandoned. In 1797, the vineyard was purchased at auction Koch family, and in 1880 Egon Müller-first took the reins of the vineyard itself. It is from this time and is considered to be the story of wine house Egon Muller. The current owner of the winery Aegon IV is the winemaker for 4 generations, and a graduate of the Institute Geisenheim Wine Institute. Egon Muller IV uses only traditional methods of winemaking and adheres to the philosophy of terroir, like his ancestors. In the cellars wine house Egon Muller do not use modern equipment - all wines are made by hand. It is at this winery made famous wine Trockenbeerenauslese, which, incidentally, is considered one of the best wines ever produced on earth.
