Wine Domaine Michel Redde et Fils, Pouilly-Fume "Cuvee Majorum", 2011
Wine of a beautiful golden color.
Wine with intense, round, supple, harmonious taste with a rich fruity, long finish.
Very pleasant wine aroma, rich nutty and mineral notes, with light tones of botrytis ("noble" mold) and spices.
The wine is perfectly suitable to fried foie gras, baked lobster, grilled lobster, fish oil or sauce. Before use, it is recommended to decant the wine.
"Cuvee Mazhoryum" - a unique white wine, which is produced only in the best harvest years. Sauvignon Blanc grapes for this cuvée grows on limestone and siliceous soils in Saint-Andelain and kimmeridzhskih marls in Pouilly-sur-Loire. Age of vines is 40 years. The grapes are harvested by hand in small boxes of 10-12 kg. Winery berries are partial maceration at sufficiently cold temperatures, and then fermented at a temperature of 18-20 ° C, which lasts from one to two months. This helps to preserve the unique flavor and juicy taste of grapes. As fermentation and subsequent exposure to the fine lees for 16-18 months is carried out in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels. "Cuvée Mazhoryum" may develop in the bottle from 8 to 12 years. It has a wonderful finish and striking in its subtlety.
Domain Vineyard Michelle Reddy has 40 hectares and is called La Muener. He belongs to the family Redd for the past six generations and is located in the center of Pouilly sur Loire. The main part is on the southern slopes, which are elevations of the Loire. They have a rich limestone-clay soil and allow fine elegant wines. The rest of the vineyard is located on the slopes of Saint Andelain and has a clay-siliceous soil. This character of the soil gives the wine a special taste.

Thanks to these innovations, the success of the company has acquired an international character. More after a while the parents could join their son Thierry, who was also interested in continuing the family tradition. He grew up in an amazing and addictive world of vineyards and wine, so brought a lot of new ideas and solutions in the family business. Now he is the current owner of the vineyard Redd, and his sons also intend in the future to continue the family business.
