De Bortoli Wines - family winery, founded in 1928 by Italian immigrants. De Bortoli family lived in the foothills of the Italian Alps in a small village situated near the historic town of Asolo, but in 1924, Vittorio and Giuseppina De Bortoli went to look for a better life in Australia. Even in their wildest dreams 24-year-old Vittorio could not imagine that he would become the founder of the Australian winemaking dynasty of world renown. The first vineyards family De Bortoli planted in 1928 near the town of Bibulus in the Riverina region of New South Wales. Case parents continued energetic Dean De Bortoli (1936-2003), during the years of his work he greatly expanded and strengthened business. Today it is his children led the company and maintain a high reputation De Bortoli, releasing great premium wines and great dessert wines, which experts compare with the best Sauternes from Bordeaux. Currently, De Bortoli Wines owns vineyards in the most famous wine regions of Australia. From grapes grown in New South Wales, produced world-class products, especially famous wines from De Bortoli varieties Semillon and Shiraz. In Yarra Valley (Victoria), which differs cool climate, beautiful berries ripen Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. And from grapes harvested in the north-eastern part of the Valley of the King, the company produces fine wines in the European style.
