Wine "Clos de L'Oratoire", 2005
Wine dense ruby-purple color.
The wine has a ripe, velvety tannins and exciting, sensuous, rich, round, slightly sweet flavor with hints of black currant, red fruit, smoke and caramel. Wine framed a long, beautiful finish.
Sweet aroma of the wine is filled with hints of earth, cream, espresso, raspberry, mocha, mushrooms, chocolate and blackberry.
The wine will be the perfect pair of dishes of meat, game and mature cheeses, deli meats, lamb and rabbit.
"Clos de L'Oratoire", 2005 - attractive, sensual red wine with an interesting fruity aroma, rich and full-bodied flavor and a long, beautiful finish. The wine is made from Merlot grapes assemblyazha, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon grown in vineyards in St. Emilion. Age of vines is about 40 years. After fermentation, the wine is aged on the lees for 18 months in oak barrels, 80% of which were new.
Old family owner of "Les Vignobles Comtes von Neipperg" - Count Stephan von Neypperg - leads his line from the nobility of the Holy Roman Empire. Its representatives were famous generals and diplomats, and on the XII century - and winemakers, founded in Württemberg winery "Le Comte von Neipperg", covering 30 villages. In 1971, Joseph-Hubert von Neypperg decided to invest in the famous Bordeaux vineyards. He immediately bought four plots in the region of Saint-Emilion: Canon La Gaffeliere, La Mondotte, Clos de l'Oratoire and Chateau Peyreau. More than ten years, until 1983, these lands were not exploited and were under the supervision of a manager.
In 1983, Earl offered one of their eight children - Stefan von Neyppergu - to take over the leadership of Canon La Gaffele. Stefan was then 26 years old, he had a lot of experience in the field of economics, management and agronomy, acquired in Germany, Paris and Montpellier, and most importantly - his shoulders were eight centuries the family tradition of winemaking. Scrabble, enjoys history and classical music, the young man went to meet this exceptional terroir. Stephen, who is known as a dynamic person with strong character, delved into all aspects of winemaking, from production to processing and aging in the cellars, from marketing to global sales. He was moving in the right direction, based on the rich potential of their land and looking to the future.
Since 1991, Stephen, to organize the work in the canon of La Gaffele, draws its efforts on Clos de l'Oratoire and Chateau Peyreau. In 1992, he decides to go beyond the region and, together with two partners becomes Clos Marsalette in Pessac Leognan, and in 1998 - Chateau d'Aiguilhe in the Cotes de Castillon. Each terroir Stefan is with great love and understanding of differences between them. All work carried out in the vineyards using biodynamic methods and approach to winemaking is based on the flexibility to achieve the best expression of each terroir, variety and vintage.
