Wine rich, deep garnet color.
Lovely elegant taste of wine differs silky tannins, hints of red and black fruit, spice, cinnamon framed enveloping tones of oak. The finish is long and fresh.
Pleasant forest shades immediately draw attention to the flavor of the wine, and the tone of toast, honey cakes, black fruit, spice, tobacco and licorice create a feeling of a rich bouquet.
The wine is excellent with red meat, game, grilled meat, spicy cheeses and meats in wine sauce.
Wine "Cheval Noire" made from grape varieties Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grown in the vineyard, which is located in the western part of the region of Saint-Emilion, in the area called Rivalon (Rivalon). 35-year-old vines from which harvested for this wine are grown on sandy soils interspersed with clay. Harvesting is done by hand. Withstand the wine for 18 months in new French oak barrels. In 1937, Mahler-Besse family purchased the estate "Cheval Noire", the name of which translates as "Black Horse". The estate is located on 6 acres of land in the region of Saint-Emilion. Inspired by this acquisition, Mahler-Besse created eponymous line of wines, reflecting the continuous pursuit of professional excellence.
Manor Mahler-Besse occupies 14 hectares of land and is bordered by Fronsac appellation.
