Wine rich dark red with plum shades.
The wine has an elegant, seductive taste with silky tannins, hints of red fruit and cinnamon.
Pleasant aroma of wine is woven from notes of ripe red fruit, black currant and wild berries with dominant blackberry.
The wine is excellent with red meat, game, grilled meat, spicy cheeses and meats in wine sauce.
Wine "Cheval Noire" is made from grapes of Merlot and Cabernet Franc grown in the vineyard, which is located in the western part of the region of Saint-Emilion in the area called Rivelon (Rivalon). 35-year-old vines from which harvested for this wine are grown on sandy soils interspersed with clay. Summer 2008 was not as favorable as expected, but the dry July and warm autumn saved the day and helped to gather the grapes rather late. Withstand the wine for 18 months in new French oak barrels. In 1937, Mahler-Besse family purchased the estate "Cheval Noire", the name of which translates as "Black Horse". The estate is located on 6 acres of land in the region of Saint-Emilion.
