Interesting Facts

Wine "Cheval Noire" is made ​​from grapes of Merlot and Cabernet Franc grown in the vineyard, which is located in the western part of the region of Saint-Emilion in the area called Rivelon (Rivalon). 35-year-old vines from which harvested for this wine are grown on sandy soils interspersed with clay. Summer 2008 was not as favorable as expected, but the dry July and warm autumn saved the day and helped to gather the grapes rather late. Withstand the wine for 18 months in new French oak barrels. Inspired by this acquisition, Mahler-Besse created eponymous line of wines, reflecting the continuous pursuit of professional excellence.
